Mission We are a small but mighty periodical publication, wire service, and press association that produces and supports impactful, responsive, local accountability journalism in communities across the state. Our organization was founded on the belief that shining a light in the darkest corners can lead to positive change in communities that are underserved by the news media. We are here to cause “Good Trouble,” as John Lewis would say.
About Using Open Vallejo as a model, we will replicate our news, data, and litigation methodologies to areas across California that are underserved by local reporting. We will provide training and support to news hubs.
